I have been hard at work for the past two weeks designing and writing my new eBook "10 Tips for Amazing Autumn Images". This recent venture has me stoked for fall this year, my favorite season I might add, in hopes of producing new and exciting images from Vermont, Ne Hampshire, West Virginia and Zion in southern Utah.
Thought i might share an image I made 3 years ago while on self assignment collecting new shot for a book that myself and Ian Plant published entitled 50 Amazing Things You Must See & Do in the Greater DC Area.
This is a shot from Overall Run in Shenandoah National park at the peak of color. The tops of the mountains were covered in thick blankets of for this day and the rain was at time downright torrential. I hiked down to these falls and then waited under the shelter of the canopy in the heaviest rain I had ever shot in. When it finally cleared the forest was filled with smoke and the color were saturated and rich, a photographers dream.
