Emerald Cascades by joerossbach Emerald Cascades by joerossbach
Cascades in White Oak Canyon, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia.

Got up to my chest in rushing water in order to get the perspecive I wanted on this set of small falls in White Oak Canyon. This image was made on a wet overcast day in late May of 2009.

WOW, that seems so alive as if it's about to come splashing out of the monitor!

Joe! Woohooo. Killer job. These shots tend to be too common place but this one just rocks. Been looking to get me one like it. Must have been fun dealing w/ the splash. Curious on ss and mm 16?

Beautiful colors, nice composition.

How did you make the tripod to stay in place in the running water? :)
