I know, I know. It is definitely out of the ordinary for me to shoot subjects like this, but every now and then I feel compelled to seek out old and decrepit things.
I found this turn of the century farm house on a remote road on the Eastern Shore of Maryland Chesapeake Bay. It was a dark and ominous day which really enhanced the my mood while making the image.

Are those curtains on the first floor really hanging out the window? This is the oddest picture... it's appears as though the lath is peeling away from the house as if it were wall paper. Personally, I'm not a fan of the effect on this pic, but it does give the house movement as if it's alive and very scary. Many people would LOVE it! Who cares if it's outside your genre of photography...shot whatever makes your heart sing. I would love see MORE of what good landscape photographers can do besides landscape photo. Never put limits on yourself. I did not attend school for photography and have taught myself through trial and error and error and error. But I have learned to shoot anything and everything that makes you happy! By the way that photo ID is very very creepy..is that Jorge Bush?
